SPC LIBRARY RESOURCES AGREEMENT



Under Republic Act No. 8293, also known as the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, SPC Library adheres to its policies and regulations in protecting and securing the exclusive rights or copyrights of every book author, publisher, and publishing company, and as such, we strictly implement the following agreement.


LIBRARY RESOURCES AGREEMENT.

1. Access to SAN PABLO COLLEGES Digital Library Resources is restricted to San Pablo Colleges students only.


2. Make sure to register before accessing SPC Digital Library Resources.


3. Student's access to SPC Digital Library Resources will expire after the Academic school year.


4. Do not download, print, or share any material on our digital library website.


5. Students will be subject to penalties and may face legal sanctions if they use SPC Digital resources for downloading, reproducing, printing, or posting online content on social media without obtaining proper permission


6. Ensure that you provide proper credit or citation for the authors' works; do not use materials protected by copyright law without permission when such authorization is necessary.


7. Steer clear of plagiarism, which involves presenting another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as your own original work. Such actions are deemed as academic dishonesty and a violation of journalistic ethics.

DATA PRIVACY INFORMATION FOR LIBRARY USERS



Introduction
The SPC Library is keen on maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of its patrons. Therefore, it is the SPC Library's policy to only store, maintain, and use information obtained rom its stakeholders and users for pertinent, essential, and clearly defined purposes. This information is also to be monitored and protected in accordance with the law to ensure that personal privacy is protected.
We kindly request that you take a moment to read through the key provisions of this privacy statement in order to comply with data protection laws (RA 10173). You agree to the use of your data in accordance with this privacy statement if you use any of the SPC Library's services.

The goal of the SPC Library is to identify its users by collecting only the necessary personal information, which includes the following: a) Name b) Birthday c) Gender d) Grade & Section, Year & Course, Faculty/College/Institute/Department affiliation e) Scholarship Status f) Home address g) Email address h) Contact number i) Fb Account.


Why We Proces your Data To receive library privileges, the SPC Library must have access to your personal information. The information you provide will only be used to: a) create/update a library account; b) access library resources and services; c) communicate library-related matters; and d) generate statistical reports


How We Share Information
The SPC Library will only use, disclose, or share your personal information for library-related purposes, such as a) informing the Office of the Dean, Finance Office, and Office of the Registrar about library accountability; b) promoting the library and improving its services, and c) generating reports for library benefactors. We may also share your information if required by regulatory agencies or local and international accrediting bodies.


Your Choices and Responsibilities
You may opt not to grant us to use your personal information for library related purposes by unticking the option below. By doing so, you may not be able to maximize the use of the SPC library services. You are responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all information provided to the SPC Library. If you provide false information on purpose, you may be denied library privileges.

The SPC Library conducts regular monitoring to ensure compliance with the principles outlined in this policy.
